The following two books are highly recommended for anyone taking a First Responder course.  Both follow the US DOT curriculum and contain a CD-ROM with self-tests.

Rapid Interpretation of EKG's is an excellent resource for anyone in the healthcare field who wants to understand as well as read EKGs.

American Heart Association/National Safety Council Textbooks:

We provide the textbooks for students taking our American Heart Association or National Safety Council courses, but for anyone who wants to obtain their own AHA texts they can purchase them from Worldpoint.

National Safety Council materials can be purchased directly from their website.

GEMS:

Anyone interested in taking a GEMS (Geriatric Education for Emergency Medical Services) course should visit the GEMS website for more information on the importance of this program.
